18th century Highland Jacobite bonnet
These bonnets are entirely handmade by me from pure Shetland wool, and are grounded in research of extant 17th and 18th century bonnets. I knit them then felt them, and insert a cotton tape so the hat becomes adjustable for a range of sizes. Diameter Is 12”, just as the originals were in the Highlands in the 18th century.
Please note these bonnets are knitted to order only and take about a week to make.
